As of Nov. 1, Wilmore Auto Works has changed its name to Wilmore Scooter Works. Jim Wilmore added Vespa sales and services to his used car and car service business last year, then watched as car sales declined and scooter sales rose. He’s focusing entirely on scooters now. The shop carries a variety of Vespa and Piaggio vehicles, ranging from $1,800 to $5,800. Depending on the model, they travel between 40 and about 80 mph maximum, and get 42 to 70 miles per gallon.
