Journalist Anne McMahon, who had been a New Times reporter and prominent political activist, succumbed to cancer on Dec. 19. Services will take place Jan. 23 at 1 p.m. at the Asistencia of the Santa Margarita Ranch, followed by a nontraditional Irish wake at the Santa Margarita Community Center.
