• Our executive editor must have had The Lion King on the brain when he was editing the letters to the editor for the Jan. 23 issue. Writer John Gajdos (“Morro Bay’s ruling majority lacks the founding spirit”) referred to the mayor only as Irons in his original submission, and Ryan Miller added the first name—except he typed Jeremy (as in the actor and voice of the leonine Disney villain Scar) instead of Jamie (the actual Morro Bay mayor). To reiterate: The wrong first name was the editor’s fault, not the author’s.

• A Jan. 23 news story (“Water in the red”) misstated the current capacity level of Lake Nacimiento. Currently, the lake is at 22 percent of its capacity.
