I watched both FOX News and CNN reports about the march Sept. 12 on Washington D.C. by hundreds of Americans who were protesting the state of the union right now. Fox News aired very uplifting, excited, positive reports on crowds. CNN reported the protest was for the dislike of Obama and were negative. What a contrast!
The demonstrators were protesting additional taxation, government-run healthcare, and corruption. They were protesting the movement toward socialism and communism in this country! People are angry and don’t want to take it anymore. They’re standing up to remind the government of the U.S. Constitution. We need to reread the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. We need to remember who we are and where we came from as a country. We need to reconnect with the principals of our founding fathers.
We saw protests and demonstrations back in the 1960s. Why are protests back then glorified and protests now not given the same credence? I’m very proud of the people who made it to Washington. They are there on the front lines fighting for what we once were as the United States of America!
