Start off the holiday season right with Downtown San Luis Obispo’s 42nd annual Holiday Parade on Dec. 1.
Winding their way down Higuera Street, hundreds of participants will show off festive flair based on the 2017 theme “holiday hoedown.” Colorful floats, marching bands, carolers, and more will be competing for bragging rights in three categories: Best In Theme, Most Creative, and Most Entertaining. Attracting around 10,000 spectators each year, this is one of the largest holiday parades on the Central Coast.
The parade festivities will run from 7 p.m. to midnight. The event is free and families are encouraged to attend. Visit downtownslo.com for more information. Δ
