Many people published in New Times tend to denounce our freedom and get on us law-abiding citizens about the right to keep and bear arms. The California state Legislature is at it again trying to remove guns from law-abiding citizens. Also, a couple of months ago Robert C. Cuddy called Wayne Lapierre a demagogue and a sociopath in his commentary (“Do it Today,” May 26). He is neither one. The point is that the more legislation you put on firearms, the more black market distribution of them will exist. Prohibition does not work similarly to the ban on all drugs. That is why we need to dismantle the DEA as well.
