New Times tells of the controversy regarding Michael Pollan’s planned lecture on the Cal Poly Campus (“Controversy erupts over Michael Pollan’s Poly lecture,” Oct. 8). It is a sad day when the Harris Ranch Beef Company can leverage the promise of a $500,000 donation to get onstage to refute Pollan.
