Everyone always wonders about the one that got away and how different life would have been if that special person had stayed.

Take your valentine out to a whimsical night at the theater and take in a viewing of Love Letters at the Colony Inn Conference Center in Atascadero.

Love Letters is the story of a 50-year correspondence between Melissa Gardner and her childhood-friend-turned-love-interest Andrew Makepeace Ladd III. The two exchange letters through boarding school and college, through marriages and children. It’s a story about two friends, physically apart, but closer than two lovers ever could be.

The play was written by A.R. Gurney and was a Pulitzer Prize finalist.

Love Letters is being presented by the Atascadero Performing Arts Committee and is showing on Feb. 12 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at atascaderopac.org and are $30.
