I wanted to thank Mark Phillips for helping to get “Democracy Now!� on KCET here in San Luis Obispo!
We recently cancelled our dish service because we couldn’t stand the amount of misinformation and half-truths being fed to us by the corporate owned and corporate biased “news� channels. It was our pleasure to not only save over $50 a month but also to be able to tell the nice people at Dish Network that, in particular, the FOX news channel was our main reason for cancellation. The only things we really watched were “Democracy Now!,� the History Channel, and the Discovery Channel.
It’s great to know that we can now at least get “Democracy Now!� over the airwaves with a cheap antenna! Thank you! And to any naysayers out there, do you really think that the corporations are really looking out for your well being by providing what they call “fair and balanced� news? I think the corporations are only interested in one thing: your money.
