Once again, I am disappointed by the 55 Fiction short story competition (July 6). There were about three that were outstanding, but the rest did nothing for me.
I actually submitted about 20 stories, a few that I felt were really good. I understand that stories, like any art, are subjective, but I wonder about how “the best ones” were decided.
