Kyle McCarty’s piece was very moving and informative (“As they lay dying,” March 13), and I certainly hope that the universe (or God, or society) forgives Roger Brown for his transgressions. And I truly hope he has forgiven himself.
He did such great work in the hospice program at CMC that he really should be considered to replace the recently retired hospice director Lorie Adoff. But I know that even after serving time, and accepting full responsibility, our society still continues to penalize felons.
Since he’s working as a handyman, I don’t doubt I could find some work for him. And I hope others will feel the same way.
