KCBX is going to sell a lot of vinyl records and CDs, art, pre-owned books and music equipment, and vintage KCBX and Live Oak Music Fest merch in its parking lot on May 30. Curated by Music Director and The Morning Cup host Neal Losey, the proceeds will benefit the public radio station and Cal Poly’s student-run station, KCPR.

“It’s been two years since our last Parking Lot Sale, so we have a ton of music to sort through and organize,” Losey said in press materials “I’m looking forward to digging in there and seeing what treasures are yet to be found.”
Pricing starts at $1 with bulk discounts available, including $5 grab bags filled with CDs. Volunteers from KCBX and KCPR collaborate to put on the sale, which will run from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Vachelle Lane in SLO.
Nearly 100 percent of the financial support for KCBX comes from individual listeners/subscribers, local corporate underwriters, and proceeds from Live Oak, which is coming up on Father’s Day weekend. With that funding, the local NPR affiliate does its best to serve listeners like you with local and national programming, NPR Network shows, and eclectic music shows. Visit kcbx.org for more info.
