Have you heard of the spoken word? The 32nd annual San Luis Obispo Poetry Festival continues this weekend.

The festival originally started in 1984 at Linnaea’s Cafe and now includes events throughout the month of November every year in the San Luis Obispo area.

This Sunday, Nov. 8, enjoy the poetic readings of Morgan Ferris from Los Osos; Will Jones of San Luis Obispo; Karl Kempton from Halcyon; and Anne Candelaria, poet laureate emeritus of San Luis Obispo, at Coalesce Chapel at 845 Main St. in Morro Bay at 2 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, but donations will be accepted at all events. For more information on other events happening this month, visit the San Luis Obispo Poetry Festival’s site.
