Former Pismo Beach mayor and Realtor Mary Ann Reiss is heading to the California Coastal Commission.
Lame duck Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced he’d appointed her on Dec. 8, along with a list of other last-minute swaps to state commissions and committees.
Reiss, a 70-year-old Pismo Beach resident, will fill the seat of Katcho Achadjian, a former county supervisor, now assemblyman for the 33rd District.
A Realtor in the South County since 1998, Reiss was elected to the Pismo Beach City Council in 1996, then elected mayor in 2004.
