Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

Atascadero's favorite diner just got finer. Deborah Blair, owner of Hoover's 101 Cafe in Atascadero, is pleased to welcome executive chef Patrick Elkins and a new dinner menu from 5-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. By adding this seasoned professional to the Hoover's family, the restaurant intends to raise the quality and variety to something closer to a fine dining experience, but without compromising the friendly diner feeling that's been the backbone of their success.

Elkins serves dinner in the evenings, but also oversees the menu throughout the day, ensuring quality breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the Hoover's tradition. Some of the appetizing new menu items include seared Ahi tuna with wasabi and soy sauce, the Beef EnEscabeche (beef strips marinated in balsamic vinaigrette), and seafood linguini.

"I have over 25 years of experience in the restaurant business and have studied cuisine all over the world," Elkins said. "I hope to offer the local favorites in addition to some new dishes at Hoover's and make the dining fun, tasty, and interesting in Atascadero."

To taste Elkins' cooking for yourself, visit Hoover's 101 at 6900 El Camino Real in Atascadero, or call 466-6900 for reservations and additional info.
