FAST FACTS 

A locally owned phone and Internet systems provider—NORCAST—has begun a program titled “Empowering Non-profits.� As the first phase of this program, NORCAST will provide three local nonprofit organizations with free telephone and Internet services for a year.
 
In order to be eligible, organizations must be classified as 501c3 and return at least 65 percent of their revenue to the community. Additionally, nonprofits must have an office in Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, San Luis Obispo, Atascadero, Paso Robles, or Santa Maria.
 
All applications for the “Empowering Non-profits� program must be received no later than July 31. Recipients will be notified by August 10. Applications are available at the NORCAST website (www.NORCAST.net) or at corporate headquarters (1998 Santa Barbara St., Suite 100, in San Luis Obispo).
