Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo announced that Emergency First Responders Christine Moffat, RN, and Tiffany Kellar, EMT, completed Homeland Security training at the Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, Ala., operated by the United States Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency--the only federally-chartered Weapons of Mass Destruction training facility in the nation. Moffat and Kellar are part of a team that responds to disasters for the hospital.

Frame Works, a locally owned framing studio, recently announced that it won first place in the Mailbox PRINT Framing Competition and the Judge's Award for High-Point First-Time Entry at a national framing competition sponsored by the Professional Picture Framers Association.
