San Luis Obispo County Planning Commissioner Anne Wyatt announced Nov. 30 that she will be stepping down at the end of the year.
As County Supervisor Bruce Gibson’s appointee, Wyatt has served four years on the commission and had the potential to serve an additional four. This year, she acted as commission chair.
Wyatt could not be reached for comment.
In a statement released by Gibson’s office, Wyatt said she was grateful to serve on the commission, but she’s “now looking forward to focusing on housing policy issues and a few other projects that will likely take me out of the county for much of the next year.”
Gibson has pegged Kenneth Topping, a lecturer in Cal Poly’s City and Regional Planning Department, to replace Wyatt.
The commission has two meetings scheduled for the remainder of the year, including a Dec. 9 public hearing in which commissioners will begin discussions on the 250-megawatt California Valley Solar Ranch proposed by SunPower.
