The Baha’i community of San Luis Obispo wishes to bring attention to the ongoing oppression of the members of the faith in Iran.  Since the inception of the faith in 1863, Iranian Baha’is have been subject to such persecutions as denial of education, seizure of businesses and property, torture, and murder. Seven members are to be put on trial, for reasons that are without evidence, in order to inflict further harm on the Baha’i community. The penalty for these false accusations is death. We humbly ask for support in the form of prayer for the religious freedom of our Iranian Baha’i family and others who are experiencing religious persecution throughout Iran.
