ECOSLO gets wasted without wasting

When ECOSLO throws a party, they don’t like to throw anything away. The local environmental group announced this week that it produced a “measly 25-pound bag of trash from its Eco-Clectic New Year’s Eve Celebration at the SLO Vet’s Hall, no small feat considering there were 500 guests wining and dining.

ECOSLO’s goal was to recycle and compost anything and everything possible, to reduce the waste for the event to two small bags. According to a press release, 200 pounds of compost were collected.

ECOSLO invites those interested in reducing the amount of trash produced at their next soiree to call 544-1777, or visit ecoslo.com.
