Is Obama Care a looming national disaster? How about the healthcare fiasco that we presently live with? Last year I thought I had a cotton ball stuck in my ear canal. I thought it best to get it looked at because I didn’t want an ear infection. It was a Saturday, so I went to an urgent care facility in Paso Robles. The urgent care facility refused my Medicare insurance without comment.
“But,” I asked, “I only want a doctor to look in my ear with an earscope, that’s all.” No dice, but for a fee of $100 the clinic would be happy to look in my ear. I passed on their gracious offer and drove over to Twin Cities Hospital emergency room which quickly checked me out. There was no cotton in my ear but the emergency room charged Medicare several hundred dollars for the service! Just another day in the life of our national health care fiasco.
