I recently tasted this nicely aged Pinot Noir and loved it. It’s nearly sold out, but it can still be purchased at the tasting room in Edna Valley. Scoring 91 points from Wine Spectator’s critics a year ago, it’s much better now and sure to age gracefully another five years or more. This rich, full-bodied wine, loaded with flavors of black cherries and plums with zingy notes of raspberry and spice, lingers long on the palate. Lovely alone, it’s also a good choice for a ribeye steak, prime rib, salmon, or ahi. It’s concentrated enough to pair well with tender grilled lamb chops. Don’t wait too long to grab this gem, it’s $45 retail—a bargain price for the quality compared to its peers.
