A slow-burning fire scorched the interior of the Bon Temps Creole Cafe at 1000 Olive St. in San Luis Obispo during the early morning hours of Nov. 30, according to the SLO Fire Department.

According to fire officials, someone reported seeing smoke coming from the restaurant shortly before 4 a.m. More than 20 firefighters and three fire engines doused the flames, which were confined to the cashier area, where firefighters say they believe the
fire started. No one was hurt by the flames, but the building suffered extensive smoke damage.
