Grover Beach Police had their hands full Sunday night when they tried to pull over Jesse James Reasner after the call went out that he allegedly robbed a market in Grover Beach using a pump-action shotgun.

When the cops spotted him driving on Grand Avenue in his 1998 Nissan pickup, they tried to pull him over but he fled, throwing his shotgun out the window along the way.

Reasner, who is 19 and from Santa Maria, was finally chased down and cornered in Nipomo, where he was arrested. According to police reports, his 17-year-old girlfriend was in his truck, but they say she was not involved in his alleged crime.

Reasner was booked for robbery and evading police.

His take? Almost $300.
