I know in the past New Times has taken an investigative stance toward some high-profile wrongdoings. This story about an illegal alien giving birth alone in an Oceano bathroom has your front page written all over it.
I was shocked by the newspaper article last week in the Tribune where a young woman gave birth alone and, after delivery, was exhausted and the baby died. She pleaded no contest to involuntary manslaughter and will possibly be deported. She has spent five months in jail since that night. I hope you find a space in your paper to hear her case. This woman needs your help. I have requested information from midwifes and nurses and they all had different things to say, but the common denominator was exhaustion.
