Al Fonzi (“Stoking the fires of division,” Aug. 15) is so wrong on so many levels, I don’t even know where to start, but I’ll try. First, he gives Trump credit for his “accomplishments,” but he can only name one of them—appointing a lot of judges. Big deal. Presidents get to pick judges. It’s what they do. Easiest part of the job, actually.
So Al, if you can’t think of any others, maybe I can help. To name just a few: He’s dramatically raised taxes on working people (myself included), he’s created concentration camps full of children on our border, and by ignoring the 2016 cyberattack on our election, he’s actively selling out our democracy to a hostile foreign power.
And by the way, Al, what is it about the so-called “liberal agenda” that seems to frighten you so? What is so wrong with affordable health care and education? What’s so wrong with giving immigrants a path to citizenship? What’s so wrong with keeping assault weapons away from those who would use them? What’s so wrong with allowing women to govern their own bodies? What’s so wrong with a tax system requiring the rich to pay their share? What’s so wrong with any of that?
Maybe you can answer me in your next column. I’ll be waiting by the news rack.

Since Trump took office, more than 3.5 million jobs have been created, more Americans are employed than ever before, and the unemployment rate is the lowest since 1969.
The unemployment rates for African-Americans (5.9 percent), Hispanics (4.5 percent) and Asian-American (2 percent) are at the lowest in history.
This year, female unemployment fell to 3.6 percent, the lowest since 1953, and youth unemployment was at a 50-year low.
Blue-collar jobs, meanwhile, grew at the fastest rate in more than 30 years.
Our economy grew 4.2 percent in the second quarter of 2018
In another sign of economic strength, an estimated 3.9 million Americans are no longer using food stamps since Trump was elected.
Rolled back the previous administrations Stream Protection Rule, which stopped coal mining.
Approved the Dakota Access Pipeline project and the construction of the Keystone XL oil pipeline from Canada to United States refineries,
Approved production of the New Burgos Pipeline to Mexico.
Moved the US Israel Embassy to Jerusalem. Former Presidents have said they wanted to do it for 50 years
Right to refuse service violating your religious beliefs re-instated
Church Tax exempt status is no longer jeopardized if Church takes a political stance
85 Article III judges have been nominated and confirmed. Two Supreme Court judges have been appointed; these are judges that support greater religious freedom and our Constitution.
Decreased the federal bureaucracy by 16,000 positions
Trump supporters are Nazis at heart. No decent person likes the orange ogre. Only depraved, stupid, sadistic , amoral scum revere him.
