behavior
“Ain’t Misbehavin’,” the Tony Award-winning
musical, is presented by the Irving Street Repertory this
Monday at the Performing Arts Center at Cal Poly. The show
takes you back to Harlem in its heyday and features Vivian
Jett from the original Broadway cast. Check out snazzy period
costumes, dynamic dancing, and tons of great jazz music. You

Seeing
is believing
The Cal Poly architecture students have gone beyond their
expected realm of architectural design. The creative students
present an art show featuring jewelry, ceramics, sculpture,
paintings, and mixed media works. Opening night festivities
include a silent auction and a bake sale, and proceeds benefit
the Emily Nicole Alstot Memorial Fund, in honor of a fellow
classmate who was recently killed in a car accident.

It’s
not just a dream
Celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this Sunday
at “Sharing the Dream,” a concert and cultural
arts festival at the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande. Events
throughout the day include live music by Louie Ortega and
the Wild Juans (pictured), a talk by Dr. Terrance Roberts
of the Little Rock Nine, African drumming, lots of great food,
and more.
