2004 CARDBOARD
FURNITURE SHOW AND COMPETITION features chairs made by Cal Poly architecture
students Jan. 15, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., at the Gallery of the College of Architecture
and Environmental Design. All furniture will be made from cardboard and
students will use their creations for the duration of the quarter. Voting
for the “People’s Choice Award” is 1-4 p.m. Winners

STAINGLASS ARTIST JUDY MAYNARD is the featured artist of the month through
Jan. 31 at Heritage Oaks Bank in Cambria. A reception for the artist is
Jan. 21, 5-6:30 p.m.
CAL POLY ARCHITECTURE STUDENTS are holding a benefit art show Jan. 21-23
in the Gallery of the College of Architecture and Environmental Design
Building. The show features jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, paintings, and
more. Silent auction bidding closes at 3 p.m. Jan. 23. Gallery hours are
Jan. 21, 5-8 p.m., and Jan. 22 & 23, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Proceeds benefit
the Emily Nicole Alstot Memorial Fund. Includes a bake sale on opening

LOUISE WILSON AND CONI SMITS exhibit their paintings through March 31
at Gulliver’s Travel, 605 Santa Rosa St., SLO. A variety of oil,
acrylic, and watercolor paintings will be on display. A reception for
