As I was driving past Cuesta College on my way to Foothill Boulevard, I couldn’t help but see all the run-down barracks or whatever those buildings are along the side of the highway and thinking that maybe it could create a project to provide not only a place for the homeless but jobs, too, as they could work to convert the buildings, thus providing much needed housing for our homeless veterans, warming centers, and shelters for families in need. Why should they just sit there empty and abandoned when so many homes are needed?
