Come on New Times. Al Fonzi is bad enough. Now we have another put-upon conservative who’s going to tell us we really don’t need clean water to drink, air that isn’t polluted, food that doesn’t make us sick, and safe work places. Al Fonzi never seemed to get any traction with his antiquated, conspiracy-theory, profits-over-people arguments. Why bring on another regressive like John Donegan?
New Times should expand its in-depth investigative reporting on local issues like water, energy, conservation, and social justice. It is information like this that educates citizens and moves society forward.

My guess as to why there isn’t more “in-depth investigative reporting” is because that costs money. I do see lots of ads on this page, and we all know that ads for the PCPA must bring in dozens of dollars, but it’s not quite enough to hire a whole bunch of full time writers.
Thousands of Americans are killed by illegal aliens every year, but has the left given up an inch on immigration? Nope.
But all it takes is one highly politicized shooting for conservatives to try and give up our second amendment rights. They are so weak and pitiful.
Trump devotees are not conservatives. They are nihilists who want to see our democracy dismantled & transformed into a Russia-style thugocracy with a strongman at the top surrounded by oligarchs & mobsters with license to do anything they want.
