Dear Mr. Peabody, I read your article today about the Duke Power Plant in Morro Bay (“Deadline for Duke,� Sept. 30-Oct. 7). It appears the aging eyesore may be for sale again. I have an idea: let’s buy the property and tear it down!
We’ve complained about it for years, it’s time for the plant to go. If we can’t force Duke to close the plant and remove it, as the article suggests may happen (yipee!), can the funding be gathered to rid the community of this ugly structure and reclaim the beautiful ocean front? Just think of the possibilities for the space!
