The Paso Robles Basin Water District is our best protection against export of water from the basin. The water district is a public agency and is specifically prohibited from exporting water from the basin. This prohibition is Local Agency Formation Commission (LACFO) Condition 6 on page 12 of the district formation ballot package.

The county can export water with a permit, and the state can do whatever they choose. The water district is the only management option that cannot, by law, export the basin’s water. I am personally opposed to exporting water from the basin. I will vote against any attempt to export water. All of the other water district board candidates have made similar pledges.

I trust my neighbors who live in the basin to work together to protect our water and find solutions to our water issues here in the basin.

I am excited to be running for a seat on the board of the Paso Robles Basin Water District.
