FLICKERS OF PROTEST

More than 70 people gathered in Mission Plaza in San Luis Obispo on Nov. 3 to mark the first anniversary of the passage of Proposition 8, the statewide vote banning same-sex marriage in California. Straight and gay people alike attended the vigil, which was sponsored by the Coalition of Welcoming Congregations, to sing songs, hold group prayers, and share stories.
