Panga Boat Bust 9/6

Weekly Poll
What should San Luis Obispo do with John Ryan Mason now that he's been reinstated?

Continue to give him a break, everyone almost kills somebody once in a while.
Assign him to Dalmatian pooper-scooper duty.
Stay the reinstatement course, but end Charlie Hines' carte blanche with picking favorites.
Let Dan Carpenter duke it out with him in a winner-take-all bare-knuckle brawl.

Something is wrong

Oceano

Terry Sweetland

I am sure that you will get a lot of criticism about your opinion piece in the Feb. 21 issue (“The fish rots from the head down). People tend to defend their sacred cows. But I, for one, have come to the realization that neither the Democrats or Republicans are trying to do anything to save the country.

Dr. Carson was correct when he said that we have four branches of government: executive, judicial, legislative, and special interest. We should be able to see that it is no longer our government. But we are now their slaves. Libs and Conservatives are being deceived by one crisis after another, designed to take our eyes from the real problem. Obama and Bush have started to destroy our future.

The Occupy movement and the Tea Party are both on the right track. They both just need to improve their message. They know that something’s wrong. We feel it. Let’s all stop being divided and work together to stop big government. Stop protecting sacred cows. Tell them we are not buying their BS any more.

Thanks, New Times.
