Stadium Park will be filled with the sounds of folk, Americana,
and bluegrass music this Saturday at the second annual Pine
Mountain Festival. This year's bill includes Grammy winner
Laurie Lewis (pictured) with Nancy Gerber, The Waybacks, Rincon
Ramblers, The Tatters, and lots more folkalicious bands. Along
with the main entertainment, there will be strolling performers,
educational and cultural booths, food vendors. The event is
sponsored by Divine Appointment Guitars in association with
the Atascadero Land Preservation Society.
. 2nd annual Pine Mountain Festival is May 1, 10 a.m.-7:30
p.m., at Stadium Park, Atascadero. Tickets are $45. Shuttle

They've
got the beat
Step
aside, Ringo, there's a new drummer in town. Actually, there
are several drummers, and they're all competing for the blue
ribbon at the 15th annual Drum Circuit Drum Competition this
Sunday at The Graduate. The event, benefiting the SLO County
Child Abuse Prevention Council, includes drum performances,
raffles, and lots of cool prizes. It's got a good beat and
you can dance to it.

In
a state of grace
The
Entourage Dance Company of Cuesta College presents its 10th
annual production, "Echo.Past Becomes Present," this Friday
and Saturday at Cuesta College. The dance concert, featuring
ballet, hip-hop, modern, and Middle Eastern style, includes
new works from guest choreographers as well as dance pieces
from past performances.
. "Echo.Past Becomes Present" is presented
at 7:30 p.m. April 30 & May 1 at Cuesta College, SLO campus.
Tickets are $10, $7 for seniors, children, and students.
