Things that make you go boo
Halloween is just around the corner and there
are a number of ways you can spend the holiday. Alternatives
to good old-fashioned door-to-door begging are offered throughout
the county. There is the Haunted Ballroom at the Paso Robles
Inn, Pumpkins on the Pier in Pismo Beach, Halloween Costume
Contest and Pumpkins on Parade at SLO Farmers’ Market,
and tons more spooktacular festivals. For a complete list
of ideas, see Halloween Events in the calendar section. And
eat lots of candy.
• Pumpkins on the Pier, Oct. 25, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Pismo
Beach. Info: 773-7063. Halloween Costume Contest and Pumpkins
on Parade, Oct. 30, 6-8 p.m., downtown SLO. Info: 541-0269.
Haunted Ballroom, Oct. 31, Paso Robles Inn. Info: 238-2218.
