Rich with aromas and flavors of apricots, nectarines, melon, and spice, it’s nicely highlighted with nuances of honey and floral notes. It’s quite elegant and well balanced, perfect for sipping or enjoying with a good meal. This would complement chicken apple sausage, mesclun with ripe pears, goat cheese and spicy walnuts, or a simple roasted chicken. Winemaker Eric Mohseni said if you like Chardonnay, you’ll appreciate the structure of Grenache Blanc, which has an inherent anise aroma that sets it apart. Their first release of this variety from the three-acre estate vineyard in front of the winery, it’s very limited this year. In the future, you’ll find this delicious variety will always be among their line-up of Rhone varieties. This impressive wine is available only at the tasting room on Foxen Canyon Rd. for $25 retail.
