Randall neglected our own U.S. history with the WPA, interstate highway system, Social Security, etc., etc. They are working so hard to make the Republican party 100% irrelevant to the needs and realities of the 21st Century.

I've been a happy ABSLO (Anywhere But SLO) member for over 10 years. I know it's heresy to the goldfish that live in the SLO bowl and think their water doesn't stink, but there are now more good restaurants for adults in South County than in the Downtown Disneyland ride called SLObispo. And I've discovered that prices for most services (like auto mechanics) are significantly lower than in SLO. I have nothing against a town with 272 bars, 34 ice cream parlors and 87 microbreweries/wine tasting bars ... or college students zipping around on bikes. But, between the traffic, constant construction, high priced trend-of-the month shops and wicked wind whipping through there; I'll be renewing my annual ABSLO Membership.

You would think that anyone in California that had tried to get almost anywhere on the Interstate in the last 10 years would be thinking, "It's time for alternative transportation choices." More concrete for more cars is not sustainable, practical or cost effective.
