We’re really trying to be responsible

As an organizer of the “bike happening (a monthly community bike ride of over 250 people through downtown) and a founding member of a participating San Luis Obispo Mardi Gras Krewe, I would like to commend the SLO Police Department and the other law enforcement agencies on hand for their consideration and open dialogue regarding our regular activities as well as Mardi Gras related events this past week.

We strive to be responsible in our revelry and especially thank Sgt. Crocker of the SLOPD for understanding this.

Our hope is that we are setting a good example of both community and Mardi Gras related events.
