We need some measure of gun control

As a hunter in my youth in California, hunting guns were limited for legal shell capacity and still are. Shotguns were/are limited to three shells. For hunting rifles, there was/is also a reasonable restriction for how many shells can be loaded.

For hunters, these limitations are reasonable. There is no reason that a hunter (with any accuracy) would need any more than these restrictions. Nobody uses handguns for hunting and the shell capacity should be limited to six.

There is no reason that any U.S. citizens or residents (other than those in active military/law enforcement) should own any weapons that are for more than legal use for authorized hunting or protection. Ownership of any weapon with more shell capacity than what’s legal for hunting or handguns with more than six-round capacity should be banned and illegal to own, buy, sell, or possess.

That protects the reasonable ownership of weapons by our citizens under the U.S. Constitution for hunting and for personal protection.

That also protects the public from others that might use other weapons to kill and destroy for unreasonable purposes.

That should satisfy the NRA’s concerns.

It’s time to do it. NOW!
