The future at present

I am deeply fascinated by Walt Disney’s facelift of the “new” Tomorrowland of 1967 at Disneyland, as well as well as Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek, because of how they portray dreams of the future.

My favorite attractions at Tomorrowland are now greatly missed. That includes Monsanto’s Adventure Through Inner Space, Goodyear’s (WEDway) Peoplemover, and GE’s Carousel of Progress, now located at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida and only operating at temporary times. This includes what became of Spaceport—now Space Mountain at both theme parks, one bigger than the other at the Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom.

Also, Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek has a main influence on me. It may not be real, but it can be believable even though it is science fiction on TV, the movies, on the Internet, and in books. The plausible future is within such visions such as the late Walt Disney and Gene Roddenberry, and serves as a great, big, beautiful tomorrow when it comes down to dreams of the future.
