As financial and code enforcement pressures mount against the Clubhouse at This Old House, a San Luis Obispo restaurant and bar, management is making a last-ditch effort to save the business.
Clubhouse owner Andrew Adams is set to go
Adams told New Times he’s complied with demands to work with neighbors, but that the effort “may have come too late.” The Clubhouse’s liquor license was indefinitely yanked by California’s Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control in mid-January after the establishment fell behind on its state tax payments, according to the department.
In addition, Adams owes his bank roughly $1.8 million, and according to the trustee, the property is slated for auction Feb. 18 on the steps of the county courthouse.
Adams said he was notified of a local investor who may be interested in the property. He also scheduled a Feb. 12 music event to benefit the business.
