Thank you for changing my view on life

Thank you for advertising the play Yours, Anne (Atascadero) several weeks ago. My three sons and I saw it. Wow! That is a play we will never forget!

All of the actors did a fabulous job. Little Cassie Johnson, who played Anne, reminded us of Shirley Temple, with her adorable personality and incredible voice. In addition to the fun parts, it was well worth seeing with its message. We are still thinking about how Anne Frank and her seven companions hid for two years in tight quarters, with little food or knowledge of what was happening in the outside world. I would lose patience if I couldn’t leave my comfortable home and property after a few days.

I always knew the story of Anne Frank but hadn’t taken it to heart as much as during the play. I view life differently now. Every day full of a variety of food, comfort, contact with the outside world, and so many other blessings we enjoy cannot be taken for granted.

Every person needs to see this play and realize that the human heart can be wicked and extremely cold to other humans. Just because Hitler was stopped does not mean a future leader as evil as him won’t come along again.

I appreciate the homage paid to Anne Frank and the six million Jews killed during the World War II holocaust. This play did not stop with the horror of the innocent Jews, but took it one step further with the ongoing holocaust known as abortion: 53 million babies have been killed without permission because their lives were inconvenient to their mothers. That is a staggering 47 million more lives than the Jews. One of those babies could have been the one to cure cancer or help our country get economically stable again. We’ll never know now.

Thank you, cast of Yours, Anne, for paying a wonderful tribute to Anne Frank, Jews, and aborted babies. Yes, all life is valuable and important!

Thank you, New Times, for pointing me toward a play that made me appreciate my daily life more.
