The 5th Amendmennt provides for Eminent Domain and the courts have consistently upheld its use for roads, bridges and parks. If left to strict libertarians, we would dam Yosemite Valley.

In a rare instance of agreeing with Donegan, I would like to see TFG soundly defeated at the ballot box, but who on the right would accept those results this time around? Michael Cohen pointed out years ago that the wannabe mobster boss uses code to encourage lawlessness and violence without implicating himself. The code was easily interpreted by the likes of Michael Flynn and Ginny Thomas, but nobody that far up the ladder is being held accountable. Democracy is in for a rough ride this year.

And right wing extremists posting on Xitter can’t decide whether to bomb synagogues now, or pour billions more into Netanyahu’s war to bring about their end of days delusions.

Gail: Not all collectivism should be demonized as “Communism and Marxism.” I, for one, appreciate going to a National Park or having police and fire protection without paying a billionaire rent-collector an exorbitant fee.

There they go again. If you can’t win by pouring out-of-state dark money into a local election, by gerrymandering or by sending gravy seals to intimidate voters at the polls, waste more taxpayer dollars with recall attempts. I have an idea for business leaders and developers: Pay enough for families to afford a house in SLO county, and you’ll see how quickly people warm to your conservative values.
