Remember the golden rule
In a recent letter written by Ms. Naoma Wright (“Bush is mentally ill,� Dec. 9-16), she has sung the praises of the book “Bush on The Couch� by Dr. Justin A. Frank.
I have a question for Ms. Wright. I have no idea of her family, i.e. children, husband, or such, but I would assume she probably has many fine and loving family relationships. My question, or challenge as the case may be: What would Ms. Wrights’ response be if either a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist, having never seen or spoken to the subject, published a book on said family member that was both highly critical and judgmental? The book would also offer a diagnosis of the subject’s mental health.
I thought so.
