Peg Pinard doesn’t know young people

For two years I lived two houses down from Peg Pinard. During the time that I lived at that house, I was able to get a good idea of Mr. and Mrs. Pinards’ character. Several times, while we were skating around our house outside, Peg called the police on us, claiming that we were making too much noise and were not allowed to skate on the sidewalk directly in front of our property.

In what we viewed as a way to resolve the issue, my roommates built a halfpipe in our backyard in order to skate on our own property. Several months down the road she notified the landlord that she was going to sue them unless they tore down the ramp. Apparently she had gone around to the houses surrounding our house and had neighbors sign a petition to sue us. Since we had not, up to that point, had problems with any other neighbors, we decided to go to the people whose names were on the petition and ask them what they had against us. Of the people that we talked to, none had realized that Mrs. Pinard was planning to sue us, and didn’t understand why she hadn’t just come and talked with us rather than threatening a lawsuit.

A vindictive person like this does not belong in the state senate representing a city largely made up of young, responsible people that she has no idea how to communicate with.
