Re: “Not the happiest place

Agree 100%. Both Paso Robles and Atascadero used to have really great recycling centers where you could take ALL of your recycling -- bottles, cans, plastic, office paper, newsprint and cardboard. Those are now gone and the only places to take your recycling are these "centers" (by Food 4 Less and behind Albertson's in Paso). They take only cans and bottles, plastic or glass and it takes forever to put each item in the machine. We need the recycling centers like we had before!!

Re: “What will we do when all the businesses are gone?

The Diablo Canyon reactors were built to last until 2024 and 2025. This was known from the beginning. There was plenty of time to plan for these closures.

Re: “Five cities will pay back SLO for failed Diablo settlement bid

"The California Public Utilities Code allows qualified parties in proceedings before the Commission to request compensation for their participation (allowable fees and costs). The Intervenor Compensation Program is intended to ensure that individuals and groups that represent residential or small commercial electric utility customers have the financial resources to bring their concerns and interests to the Commission during formal proceedings."

Re: “Five cities will pay back SLO for failed Diablo settlement bid

Just like everyone else that participated in the hearings, the coalition can apply for, and most probably receive, most of that money back from the CPUC Intervenor Compensation Program.
