Marijuana heist leads to arrest

Atascadero police officers arrested Nathanial Woodall, 23, for allegedly forcing his way into a Quail Ridge condominium and pilfering the resident's medical marijuana on August 6, police said.

At around 4 a.m., three masked assailants armed with a baseball bat and a golf club reportedly forced their way into the residence and struck the two unnamed male occupants, ages 18 and 20. The alleged thieves walked off with approximately $700 in cash and marijuana valued at around $300, said Atascadero Police Lt. Carole Robinson.

The victims suffered minor injuries, and one was treated at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center and released.

The victims reportedly recognized Woodall, who was arrested at his home later that day. He was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of robbery, burglary, and conspiracy.

The two unidentified suspects are reported to be 20 to 25 years old, of medium build, with short brown hair.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Atascadero Police Department at 461-5051 or Crime Stoppers at 549-STOP.
