I remember when the Mayor said that if you don't like the direction something is headed, then you should come to the city council meetings. So, I went to this one. But they didn't give any of the arguments against it any weight, because the Mayor told us this type of density was mandated by the State, and that we will face fees and fines of a million dollars if it doesn't go through. So, it was a done deal in the Council members and staffs minds when they came to the meeting. This project is so NOT SLOTOWN. It is somewhere else! So out of scale. 90 percent footprint and 4 storeys high in our neighborhood? And the developer is not even from San Luis. Just wants to make money off of us.
