Kudos for the Red Cross

My daughter suffered a true loss two days before Thanksgiving. Her apartment burst into flames, causing her to lose all that she had. Pictures, music, clothes … all the things we take for granted every day of our lives. Her biggest loss was her kitten, who was inside the apartment at the time.

In the midst of this tragedy the Red Cross came forward, and these people have been her guardian angels. They have made sure she has a place to stay, food to eat, clothes to wear, and even paid for her to get new eyeglasses (since hers burned in the apartment). The volunteers never judged, just gave her love and acceptance. I for one will be making my donations to charity to the Red Cross this coming year — bravo, Red Cross, bravo.
